Per Riverside County ordinance, we are required to obtain a copy of your driver's license or other government issued ID and to have the person responsible for the booking formally acknowledge that he or she is legally responsible for compliance by all guests of the short term rental with all applicable laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the use and occupancy of the short term rental.

After booking we will send you a link to complete these requirements conveniently via your phone. Please do so within 24 hours of booking to avoid any issues with your reservation. Unfortunately we are not permitted to proceed with the reservation without these documents.

  • You must be over 25 years of age to reserve a booking with us. We will verify ID at check in.

  • Please make sure you do not use home as a venue to party or have gatherings over the occupancy limit and vehicle limit of 5 at all times. Violation will result in forfeiture of your full deposit.

  • We do not permit the use of wood-burning fireplaces for safety and liability reasons.

  • We do not permit parties or events in accordance with county ordinance. Please refrain from bringing unregistered guests. Any violation of these rules may result in substantial fines of up to $10.000, forfeiture of the security deposit and could lead to immediate eviction in order to protect the neighborhood, the property and, thus, the experience for future guests.

  • In accordance with county ordinance we do not permit amplified music outside the structure and we ask all guests to be mindful or noise levels at all times.

  • As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. Violation of noise ordinances will be subject to county fines.

  • The property can accommodate up to 5 cars next to the house. Parking space for another 5 cars can be made available upon request in a designated unpaved area at the bottom of our orchard. We do not permit any cars parking outside of these zones, on the sides of public or private roads on or around the property, or on or near neighboring properties or orchards. Violation of parking ordinances will be subject to county fines. Violators will be towed.

  • We are pet-friendly and happy to host a maximum of two pets. We charge a non-refundable pet fee to cover additional cleaning and any "accidents". We ask that you do not leave your furry friends unattended on the property or locked inside rooms. You are liable for any damage caused by your pet. We may ask for additional details about the animal.

  • Smoking inside and outside the house is not permitted. De Luz is an extreme wildfire zone year round. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $1500 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

  • Due to noise restrictions and year-round extreme wildfire risk please do not set off any fireworks or start open flames.

  • Please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms, the swimming pool or the hot tub in order to help us maintain a hygienic environment.

  • Please refrain from bringing or using illegal substances on the premises.

  • Please use the internet access in accordance with all laws and regulations.

  • For your own safety, we do not permit access to the orchard. We do not accept liability for any injuries sustained. Our orchard is adjacent to the neighbor’s orchard with no fences separating them. Please do not pick avocados.

  • Please take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a replacement fee of $150.

  • Please do not rearrange the furniture.

  • We strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control, such as extreme weather, delayed or cancelled flights, accidents and lost luggage.

  • If you open it, close it; if you borrow it, return it; if you turn it on, turn it off; if you break it, fix it; if you use it, take care of it; if you make a mess, clean it up; if you move it, put it back. Thank you so much!
